The Assignment
Romantic Destinations Magazine commissioned a visual feature on group travel through California wine country. The story followed friends exploring Napa and Sonoma, visiting wineries, enjoying tastings, and discovering the many different ways to experience the region.
The Approach
The visual direction centered on authentic connection and shared experience, highlighting vineyard landscapes, tasting rooms, boutique wineries, scenic drives, and relaxed moments among friends. Instead of staged poses, the imagery focused on natural interactions, easy laughter, movement from place to place, and small sensory details like glasses, textures, and light. The goal was to convey the feel of group travel in California wine country, stylish and welcoming, filled with memorable moments together.
The Result
The photography was published as a multi-page magazine feature, pairing editorial writing with destination, lifestyle, and travel imagery. The story presents California wine country as an inviting place for groups of friends to explore, taste, and make new memories together.
