From Seed to Harvest
The early moments where character begins
Every cigar begins with a seed. Carefully selected and planted, tobacco seeds grow into plants whose leaves will eventually define flavor, strength, and structure. After harvest, the leaves are cured to reduce moisture and stabilize the tobacco. During this early processing stage, the leaf begins its first transformation, moving from agricultural product to a material prepared for refinement.
Fermentation & Aging
Where patience quietly shapes the leaf
Once cured, tobacco enters fermentation and aging, where time becomes the most important factor. Leaves are stacked and monitored as natural heat and pressure release harsh compounds and deepen aroma. This process unfolds slowly, often over months or years, allowing the tobacco to mature and develop balance. Fermentation and aging shape much of the cigar’s final character.
Sorting, Blending, & Rolling
Craft guided by experience and intent
After aging, tobacco is sorted and evaluated by hand. Leaves are selected for their texture, elasticity, and strength, then blended to achieve consistency and balance. Skilled artisans prepare the tobacco and roll each cigar with precision. This stage relies on experience and judgment, translating years of tradition into a finished form.
Finishing & Readiness
The final standard before release
In the final stage, cigars are inspected to ensure uniformity and quality. Construction, alignment, and consistency are reviewed before the cigars are allowed to rest. This phase confirms that the journey from seed to cigar is complete, with every piece meeting the standards established at the beginning of the process.
